So I have to tell the truth A) the third image on flickr was actually of a winnie the pooh cake but i SWEAR i was going to use it... don't drag the pic to the desktop but the .gif files are toooo small to use. so this is the one that i had to use when i went to get another pic. B) i really just did this to piss of Scott because I have access (and rights!) to use Archer and Gotham.. but it was fun and i might add a couple more...

Quickie Design Proj

1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together.

5 - Post it

Genius Book Design

While at the library today, I spotted two spines that looked almost exactly alike, but with that mind-game of photo hunt. Not that it was that difficult to emulate Ann Coulter's book design, but the idea of making it near identical is brilliant. Everyone who looks to pick up Ann's book will now see Susan's. Of course no one far left or right-winged will even think twice about reading the opposition, but I guess it's for us* people in the middle. Next time I'm at the library I'll take a picture of the whole effect it has on shelf, but for now this image is all I've got. It's a pretty hilarious site to see. Of course the designer in me thinks they could have done a better job of copying exactly the right colors, alignment, and typefaces, but it's alright I guess and gets the point across. Kudos.

Hey everyone! I've been super busy in Arizona this past month, and not really thinking about design at all to be honest...but I miss you all like CRAZY!!! I've been hiking, rock climbing, teaching kids about dinosaurs, traveling a bit, and generally getting dirty. Flagstaff is awesome, a lot like Athens! A funky little town, lots of hippies, and most importantly a great bar scene. You all would like it a lot!

If you haven't seen my facebook album yet, here it is. Even if you HAVE looked at it, check it again because I just added new pics from my recent trip to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon with 2 other counselors and 20 middle school kids. Pretty wild!

Scott: I totally dig your blog, I've been keeping up on it and you seem to be learning a lot. Have you seen Olpe yet?

Seth: seriously, post those strip club flyers. Congrats on the internship!

Aight, so if you don't know, I convinced Cindy that it was a good idea for all of us to go cabrewing, which.. it is, for class on Wednesday but looks it will be thunder storming. Im talking to Cindy about when to reschedule and suggested Monday so I'm tryin to see if people have exams at any time then. We also talked about on our exam day which is next Thursday.
