CHEAP RAM UPGRADES

what up y'all, if you don't have the max amount of RAM ur computers, y'all should check it out.. I just got 2 - 1Gig sticks for my MacBook Pro for $35.. if you would get the ram from Apple, it'd cost like $200 or something stupid.. and they'll install for free at Baker.. definitely give it a look.

Quick UpDate
T-shirts should be in as early as next Thursday. They totaled around $630 and change. I can give Justine/Nora the exact invoice when we get the shirts in. I hope they turn out alright!!!
Fundraiser posters look great but perhaps we should avoid putting "FUCK" anywhere that coincides with our name?? I am going to to go in to Red Brick to get details hammered out early next week so we can finalize the info for the posters!!!

similar to murphs last post

Lame attempts at 'green' typography.. this is a bit different than the type for change stuff which doesn't actually claim to serve a function other than visually demonstrating the shrinking of iceland.. 'Ecofont' takes Verdana, and pokes a bunch of holes in it.. and claims that this is a green font that will save everyone ink: this is absolute bullllllssshhiiiiittttt Verdana is a SCREEN font, as in.. not meant to print.. and if it is printed (which I have done, and it looks okay) it really only works at VERY small sizes.. even if this typeface were properly used at a high volume printer, for a huge run, it MIGHT save 3 or 4 drops of ink, however the energy used to make the little holes by the printing mechanism (most likely digital..) will FAR outweigh the saved ink.. in the same vein.. the digital rendering of the little holes will impede readability thus making people stay on their computers longer and wasting more energy. lame publicity ploy..

B A L A N C E (a flip-book starring ME)
This is ultimately going to be a flip-book but I want to add some more stuff before I get it printed. Right now it's 84 different images/illustrations that were put into iMovie and shown for .8 seconds. Thought you all would enjoy my skill of not only drinking and reading at the same time, but doing so while balancing on a seesaw! badass! yeah! exclamation points rock!

Sooo Red Brick is being incredibly lame and Barbara (the one who's in charge of booking the bullpen) has not called me back. I have literally called Red Brick and/or her cell phone every day or every other day since we decided to have our fundraiser there and SHE HAS NOT CALLED BACK!!!
So if you have a second PLEASE CALL RED BRICK and try to get the bullpen booked for us for April the 17th!!! Or if you know Barb or anyone at Red Brick that could help us secure that night, let me know or do it yourself. As of right now we do not have a place for the fundraiser.
Red Brick's number is 740-594-2077 and Barb's cell phone is 440-319-9048.
Please call one or both and LEAVE MESSAGES and perhaps we can annoy them enough to at least get someone to call us back!!

A Head's Up for my Last Head's Up
I just got off the phone with Chandra and she said that it is still $125 dollars to rent out the space (which we can pay for the night of or any time before that). The crappy part is that we have to split any cover charge we get 50/50 with 19 South. I tried to tell her that would leave us with barely any profit but they don't care, haha.
Also, 19 South employees are going to be collecting the money at the front door, not us. The cover charge is up to us but she suggested charging the under-agers 2$ more. Sooo she said also that we can have people at the top of the stairs to count how many people go down so that we know how much money we should be getting at the end of the night.
To me, this is going to be a lot more confusing because if we are just counting people, we aren't going to necessarily know who is underage and who isn't (obviously we will know most people, but hopefully more sophomores will show up this time)... so maybe we can work out a system for that???
As for the poster, once we get that ready we can put it in the door of 19 South. Also, we have drink specials again (1.50 domestics and 2.00 well drinks). She stressed if we advertise the drink specials, to not write specific brands. We didn't last time, but just something to keep in mind.
It's April 17th, 10-1. If everyone thinks that this is too sketchy or whatever we can always cancel. But we have to let them know sooner or later. Let me know what you all think!!!

Just a Heads Up
Just a quick update for the Spring Fundraiser - Jackie O's finallllly got back to me and said that because people would be underage, they wouldn't be able to give us April 17th and it would be really expensive if we wanted to still do that and shut the bar down. Just if anyone had their heart set on having our fab fundraise at JO's... it isnt' going to work.
However, we have 19 South definitely reserved for April 17th so mark your calendars!! I called Chandra yesterday to confirm prices and what not and I'm still waiting to hear back from her. So I'm thinking that this will have to take a backseat for a while and the first week of Spring Quarter we can pull together a theme and posters and create a facebook group and all that fun stuff.
So that's all the info I have at this point. Just filling everyone in!! =)
