Spring Fundraiser Info

I can repeat all this tomorrow in class but here is the scoop for if we want to rent out Red Brick's Bullpen:

- I booked the fundraiser for Friday, April 17th (we have to cancel 2 weeks prior so my credit card doesn't get charged!!)
- The hours would be from 9-12.
- If people are underage they HAVE to be there before 10pm. Once they are in, they can stay for the duration of the party.
- Cover charge is up to us completely. We can collect it or a red brick employee can. We will get all the proceeds for this.
- If we want to buy a Keg it is 152$ of our choice of beer (she specifically mentioned bud light or miller light. i dont know how crazy we can get with the beer pick). So we can charge for a pitcher or by the glass or not at all if we want to use it as an incentive to come or whatever.

- So here's the semi-sucky part. It is going to be 181.77$ to rent it out for 3 hours. It is originally 125$ to rent the place, then an additional 20$ if there are more than 30 people there (dont ask why??) and then plus tax will equal 181.77$.
Sooooooo it's a little more than we expected BUT we can make the cover charge whatever we want and get ALL the money AND we can charge for the keg if we want to go that route.

So PLEASE let me know what you guys think!!! If you think it is too expensive I can cancel it. But, obviously, we need to figure this out sooner than later.....

About Jackie O's:
I called Jackie O's and the girl didn't give me much info so someone is calling me back. But she did say that some group rented out the place and they had a beer-tasting thing that was 15$ and 5$ of it went to charity. I'm not sure if that's the route we want to go or not but just throwing it out there. I will give you more info on Jackie O's when they call me back.

Until then, let me know your thoughts about Red Brick!! =)

1. thats a shit ton of money to fork over initially
2. i think before we do this we should talk to don to see what he thinks we'll need money for... i mean, what else do we really need to spend except posters, postcards, tshirts, and possibly food for the awards, and other misc. show things...

i dunno it just seems like a lot of money... over $300 initially for a party just to rent and get beer is a helluva lot.

i think we definitely need to talk this through tomorrow in class. depending how much money we may need, it could be worth it to have another one (we also love excuses to bond and get wasted with each other, but we could do that at someones house) but i dont think red brick is a good match for us. stupid prices. anyways, tomorrow. lets all talk.

I really think we need another fundraiser! I want more money!! seriously.. now we know we can make dollaz with the cover charge.. and Ima do some math on the beer:

a keg= 1984 fluid ounces
$2megamug& $ 1pints = $124
which is -$28
$3megamugs & $1.50 pints = $186
which is a $34 profit

that really seems like way too much of a gamble.. unless we somehow cram A SHIT TON of people in and get like 4 kegs and sell all of the beer..

I think it would be better to just do the aqualounge again.. we can use our superior aesthetic powers to lure people down there and take all of their money.. I'm also training a group of mid 19th century child pickpockets from London to help us when we get the people down there.. so I'm thinkin aqualounge would be better..
